Whose backing of the Israeli position on illegal settlements led to Abbas' decision, 06 Nov 09

The decision by Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, to bow out of politics has raised doubts over the future of the Middle East peace process.

Hillary Clinton, the US secretary of state, in praising his efforts said she would work with Abbas in whatever capacity he was working in the future.

But it remains to be seen if the US, whose backing of the Israeli position on illegal settlements led to Abbas' decision, will now try to keep him.

Nearly a year later; Israel has STILL made ZERO concessions, and Abbas is still in, ONLY because IsraHell has basically denied ANY elections happening in the Palestine territories.

Since then, just how many Palestinians have been killed by IDF and other Israelis? How many ISraelis killed by Palestinians? Learn THAT truth and you would have a hard time, in my opinion, standing up, any longer, for Israel..

The flotilla incident should have turned USA, for sure, too!
