@tribalwind Cool I'm new to it too. I'm excited to have my first plant.

@paulgem123 all i meant by "mother" plant was thats my original mature plant from which i take cuttings . im not an expert but i suppose you could take a few cuts now, put them in a vase with water for a couple weeks.. or stick directly in a pot and keep moist.

@tribalwind I just got one from Lowe's it's about 2 foot tall with many branches and leaves. Is this a mother plant? How can you tell? Do you have to wait 3 years to do cuttings? Thank you!

Hi SpuntFemaleSpray
I have grown from seeds and from cuttings. The advantage of the cuttings is that they can bear fruit almost immediately. Getting fruit from a seed started plant is supposed to take 3 years.

Hey TQ,
You can get the seeds from any goji berry that has not been heat treated. Any goji berry that is sun dried or "raw" will work fine.

Goji Berries self pollinate without bees. In fact, I have had goji cuttings flower and grow berries before the cutting even has taken root even while it is under a protective clear dome during the rooting process.

That depends on how your taste buds have been trained. It is only an exclusive few that have resisted the siren song of industrialized food. This "food" has ruined most of our tastes.
In any case, raw goji berries taste yucky compared to a twinkie or Hostess cupcake.
However, if your tastes tend toward raw and live foods, then you'll appreciate goji berries.
