Germans are serious about everything. Especially about their stars and starlets.

Contrary to general perception abroad, Germany has a host of flamboyant celebrities in areas such as sports, movies, television, music, politics, high society etc.

This is an interview with Vic Dorn, a German horror movie star of the 70s who gained international reputation.

  • Great! And the pyrophobia... perfect. I wish my German professors had shown some sketches like this. German soap operas and documentaries on Husserl or Martin Heidegger don't command your attention in the same way.

  • @InfrangibleChain: Soap operas on Husserl + Heidegger ? Might turn out funny, but hardly anyone is interested in both anymore in Germany...Hannah Arendt is still quite important, but her affair with Heidegger was wretched...when you´re younger you try to understand Heidegger, but later you realize he´s mostly nebulous Zeitgeist crap, his (short) love affair with the Nazis was equally wretched, but that was NOT Hannah´s fault, who looked that she had a narrow escape from them...
