The very underrated trombonist Jack Jenney plays a very beautiful solo on Stardust, with his own short lived big band, before he went back to Artie Shaw and recorded that famous solo of his, on Artie's record along with Billy Butterfield.

  • Jack Jenney was a hell of a trombone player. I am a trombonist as was my grandfather who actually taught Henry Singer. Henry was one of the trombonists on this track. I have a pic that Henry gave my grandfather somewhere w his autograph. I believe the picture is of this band. Thanks for posting!!!!

  • Jack Jenney was my grandfather..i am the youngerst of his grandkids..his only chilld was my father John Jenney Sr.i once had a collection of my grandfathers music and items but lost them in the flood of 2008 in Cedar Rapids Iowa...my oldest son looks just like him but a little bigger...dont know who joemama669 is though or the other one...

    Jack Jenney had a son name John Jenney. He had 6 kids and my mom was one of them. I think Jack Jenney only had the one child.
