@thatgirlismine I am trying to figure it out on my end, I used to have my sound and microphone input in simulate levels, the problem though is that if I want people to hear squat, I have to drown out the house by turning my sound on my speakers to maximum.
I cannot remember how I set it up for my Nethack attempt, where I did have sound from my game and microphone.
Arthur worked really hard on this game and wrote a brilliant script with tons of puns and a well-done Christmas twist on the metal gear world and all you could do is make smarmy little wisecracks the entire time instead of listening to the attention paid to detail.
@TheDeathApples, if I was to be silent during cut scenes I would be effectively silent for the majority of the game.
As well the author is probably expecting such a response, it would be silly to expect no one to laugh or comment on a script that like you said was purposely filled with puns.
I already read that he made it purposely plot-hole filled, to make the original author of metal gear proud. So some thing that full of purposeful narm is hard to just plain ignore.
No, you have every right to laugh and comment. The one thing that really got me was your complaining of the elevator music's absence yet you didn't have anything nice to say.
I don't mean to pick at you, I'm the voice-actor for Snake in that game and I was expecting a little bit of praise, and your overall 'this is my show, look at me' style got on my nerves a little.
First the elevator, it's just such a common thing, and I was just looking for some thing to comment on, in a satirical way.
On the voice work. Yes I'll say it here, I do like it. I'll make sure to comment on the voice work in game a bit more, when I record later today.
It's just that I don't really notice the quality of the voice work unless it is of horrible work. People groan a lot about bad voice work when it's there, but not so much when it's passable or good.
Argh. Half the point of the game is the voice acting parody and the music, and you have it basically muted :/
