I remember the said fountain and the one at the top of the moor. I think the one you talk about was the Angel fountain amd the one on the moor was the Jubilee fountain.

I remember those water fountains. I also noticed that when they dug up the grounds outside the front of the train station to make the new road, that the fountain was still there, until they destroyed it.
