This review is about Ad Hoc, not The French Laundry.
We ate at the French Laundry last Sunday and it was great (again). So they might have had a glitch. Too bad at that price! While I like Gary Danko, it is not the same level of cuisine.
BTW - Thomas Keller was right. Why would you go there if you don't like the food? It is not McDonald's - it is way too expensive for that...

I have eaten in here, the food was very good, just like I cook at home for my family. It was tasty but very small so we asked the waiter and we got one more course and an extra dessert for the same price. Then the waiter said it is very common thing to ask more. so if you have a chance to visit Yountville make sure you stop by for lunch and ask extra food
