Saw Isaac in 1972; run folk club in Berks, England. Broke his pick and borrowed mine- he was playing acoustic and filled the room. He is the greatest influence on me as a guitarist still. He taught me to forget convention, be aware of where all the notes were in relation to chords & strings & push the envelope. Through him, I found the way I'd lost after the Mersey sound disappeared, when everybody was doing Hendrix shit, and I'd floundered into the folk scene. Thanks Isaac

Thanks Ron. I used to follow this guy around the country......Probably (IMHO) the best one man band I've ever seen...(and I've seen a lot!!). Cheers....and RIP Issac...you're sadly missed.

This is wonderful - Isaac is still an all-time favourite guitarist, and much missed. I saw him only twice, at Band on the Wall in 1987 and at Stockport Cricket Club around the same time. I have seen many guitarists since who can play more notes per minute than Isaac but very few can match the dynamic range or the precision and warmth of Isaac's playing. I have learnt more in the 20 minutes of these two workshop videos than I have in the last 20 years. Thank you BristolRon - I owe you one.

This is simply mind blowing..I am transcribing various Isaac numbers and any video footage of him is like gold for me .You have made me a happy man..Many thanks
Many thanks Ron, for posting these videos.
It is absolutely amazing , ten years after his death, to see a video of Isaac doing a workshop. I first saw him doing a workshop in Cambridge in 1975. A truly phenomenal player and an amazing singer as well.
