Join me at a flea market in Saitama at Saitama Stadium. ( Home of the Urawa Reds soccer team ) Its right off the last stop on the Nanboku line at the Urawa Misono stop. For now its only 200 yen to get in..... Second hand treasures and awesome festival food. Plenty of bargain hunter eye candy. It happens about once a month in the spring summer and fall and its a great way to have fun for the good part of a day. You may also find some treasures, collectibles, antiques or something you need for the apartment. Its funny I have not seen much for car parts but there are always rare gas tanks for Japanese motor bikes that pop up from time to time. Go figure? Oh! and tin toys and glass floats with original rope!

The Loco Moco (featured in the video)

The dish is widely popular in Hawaii and now you will see it on the menu at many of the restaurants in the mainland. In keeping with the typical standards of Japanese Cuisine, they used rice as a staple and finished it off with the hamburger and gravy to create a dish that does not require the preparation time of a bento. The Japanese version is tweaked with a Hamburg steak, different sauce and cabbage. The half cooked sunny side up egg is also included. My choice was to have it in a pita but it was also available over Japanese rice. Price: 500 yen .... a bargain!!!
