Thank you both for your beautiful art. Over a decade ago Oprah did have Ernie Barnes on her show, and she is a collector of his art.
I participated briefly in the African Art movement at the Baldwin Hill Mall in the early 90's. I am glad that you mentioned the conflict and discord instead of a collective unity of purpose among the black artists. Barbara Wesson played a major role in developing economic opportunities of African American artists. She deserved an NAACP award.
