I was asked about the step sequencer and if it could be used to create 303esq sounds.

  • sorry don't mean to be harsh, but have you ever heard a 303 in your life, really?

  • @pierlooqup the demo was to show the blofeld sequencer doing glide,

if i was copying a 303 i'd only use 1 osc, 1 filter and whack the resonance up.

  • Sounds neat but nothing like a 303. I really hope they release an official VST editor because my Blofeld is just collecting dust on my table. Too bad cause it has some nice sounds ready to be tapped.

  • Why do you need a vst editor? its menu system is the best i've used, i can get to what ever i want to tweak in a matter of seconds, compared to my A-station which would puzzle a code breaker.

I don't think its capable of a true 303 sound using the internal sequencer, as you need to be able to play more that a single note at a time to get the true 303 sound, its a limit of the appegator rather than the synth engine.

  • oh and I hate the reverb this machine comes with. You have to turn the damn this off to realize how cool this synth can sound.

  • I want a VST editor so I can save the sound I tweek into the song instead of the memory bank of the Blofeld. You're right it is a great menu but having EVERYTHING in front of you is easier.
