On Oct. 7, 2008, the Center For Inquiry-New York City hosted a talk by Rev. C. Welton Gaddy on the state of religion and politics in 2008 campaign. Gaddy is president of the Interfaith Alliance and one of the leading liberal religious voices deploring the erosion of separation between church and state since the early 1990s. Gaddy emphasizes the need for cooperation between secularists, freethinkers, and religious defenders of church-state separation and offers specific strategies to highlight our issues. Gaddy also hosts a weekly radio program, State of Belief, on Air America.

  • Yes he speaks very well...but I would like to see his counterpart on agressive liberal atheist side...there are people who don't want to allow others to freely exercise their religious beliefs at all as well...so you have to fight extemists not just religious extremists...

  • Welton Gaddy is one of the finest people I have ever listen to..wow what a mind..now if folks would just shut up long enough to listen...

  • Also this guy is not a Rev. he may be ordained but his purpose is to mislead and incorporate a one world religion under the pretext that anyone that believes in a single path to salvation is a terrorist.

  • Look everyone is talking about religious issue when it is simply a question of knowing Jesus and knowing that you as a person placed him on the cross due to your sin, if you do not understand this you do not understand the nature of your life and you will continue to be searching....

  • *nods 2 JDBT*

    its a insane struggle, too.

not sure if others have found these sleep walkers, baring, to heckling me as a atheist, for only the reason I found 0 reasons to be in servitude to their religions.

I swore I'd never hear people tell me 'gods punishing me' by ..sure I felt one was possible, but not a full strike

not the baseball version, but bowling

no matter all the others I find starting to rally an see this.

fear its the match to cause a flash over, event with them.

    Peace

    JC

  • The term "slave states" surprised me, but wow! That just blew me away! Gaddy is a genuine truth-seeker who understands American democracy, and the state of belief in our nation.

I have to hear more from him.

  • Thank goodness, a religious man who understands the situation, I know there are more and it is time for these reasonable religious persons to stand up.

    Thank you very much!
