lovely bulge package on cover....wow Stanley!!
I bought this actual album back in 1984.

my favorite bit of solo bass in this song comes right at the four minute mark, and goes till around 4:08, dunno why but that little double stop thing he starts with there at 4:00 is especially cool to me also, since ts one of the several phrases in this instrumental that Clarke later developed into the whole Wild Dogs canon.(heh). i'd like to see other fans point out their favorite bits as well

From a supreme lyrical and melodic iconic bass revolutionary!

I heard this live in 1985 at the First Avenue in Minneapolis some years after the album. Stanley, turned this piece out on the bass that night. I've never heared it live played by him since.
couldn't agree with you more. This cd was not available in the U.S. until last year but was in limited production

This 1982 R&B/jazz instrumental by this phenominal bassist is probably my favorite piece from him, it's so soft and sensous, the perfect blend for a love song, and it's one of his more overlooked efforts, there not many, but this is one of the best R&B/jazz instrumentals of the 80's, from a legendary musician, hands down!!
