I think you are a retard, Missrainbow is evidently a very patient and understanding person, I frankly think you are an ignorant fool...world food shortages, no shit sherlock but the amount of food wasted each year in the developed world could easily feed the world over - just shut up, your justifications for these practices are so inadequate and unimaginative to say the least.
@MrPatrickcollins I would love to know the bigger problems you speak of...Oh you might also wanna check out Food Inc, if you haven't then your opinions on the organisations and the food produced might change...anyways its pretty good because it shows there is a huge issue concerning us all - that is the way food is produced.
Btw that argument gets tossed around alot, so please argue the case because I don't know if you realise just how significant agriculture/factories/food outlets are!
@MrPatrickcollins I am not forcing you to change, I am simply showing you many great ways that people can and have been trying to help - instead of buying the cheap, easy and in my own opinion really horrible option. You do realise that the hormones are unecessary - if you are raised on good wholesome calcium in your diet, you have a good chance at being tall - look at the genes and diet of people from Holland!
@MrPatrickcollins I like meat too, I never said this was a way of culling meat out of your diet. My family eat all sorts like cow, pig, lamb, chicken, fish, crabs, oysters, the list goes on. I love meat but I respect where my food comes from - so I look at what is LOCALLY or regionally grown/farmed/raised and consider the effects my consumption has on the envrionment and the animals - which in turn affects myself aswell.
@MrPatrickcollins I never said this was a means for everyone, this is just one alternative that has great benefits for people, animals and plantlife. Alot of communities across the globe have turned towards community gardens to promote healthier living - Cuba,Thailand, South America, etc etc.
If you don't eat fruit/vegetables - then you may turn out like the kids in the UK and U.S.A who cannot digest food properly due to their diet based on salty, fatty foods along with processed meat.
@Missrainbowmuffin Ye but its ridiculous to think thats a replacement for factory farming on a global level, everyone just grow their own food in their garden 1.not bothered 2 I dont like veg 3.i like my garden the way it is 4.I trust the eu food regulators enough that im not affraid of my food 5.The Earth faces bigger problems 6.The hormones they put in the food make me taller 7.I like meat
@MrPatrickcollins Anyways, I could make a giant list of simple things, anyone can do - which actually can save alot of money if you keep at it! The things we try to do - make a circular system - not linear! So we try to make sure we reduce or eliminate any unecessary waste, energy and the like so that we 1. become more "earth friendly" and 2. live a healthier lifestyle...its hippie but its freakin easy and so much better! Plus its awesome simply going into your little yard and eating fresh stuff
@MrPatrickcollins For instance, my mum started with a worm farm...which is now big enough to sustain all our garden (we live in a single story, small 2-3 bedroom old house - over 90years old - one bathroom, no garage or much of a yard, but side and back garden - small, but decent to make enough food for well over 5 people when you have a good crop/weather/ etc) - not only that, but we re-use our pet's waste to fertilise the garden, and we re use containers for preparing seedlings!
@MrPatrickcollins Localised options don't have to be expensive - not if you do your research and think it through before acting. You also gotta adapt to your area, not every place is easy to do this...so for some it might be a swifter change, than say doing it in an area where the prices are higher in some instances...so yeah i understand not everyone finds it easy or worth while - but ALOT of people simply DON'T care or are too lazy to really make a difference for themselves and our earth, hehe
@Missrainbowmuffin Are you telling me that the ibred crusty greasy 2$ Chicken wings i get in KFC arent good for me?Problem is that "localised methods" are more expensive ...stupid... save money??did u mean to say waste money??ye i thought so. Theres global food shortages and you want to downscale food production just so a fat pig can roll over ye real well thought out. Ive never caught a deseise off a cheeseburger might i add

Whatever we buy is affecting the companies too!
