not trying to burst ur bubble but its not that rare, they're not that desirable, reason being is that it doesnt have valve gear that everybody loves. its a nice engine but its not that rare there are many for sale on ebay

That's a tyco about a mid to late 80s steam engine motor is in loco unlike the Chattanooga or climintine locos it might have came with an southern pacific tender and it's rarity is not a lot I seen two on eBay in mint condition for about 30 to 40 bucks. Kris.

Kirbyfan600, alot of HO steam switchers from the various manufacturers don't have valve gear; only have the main drive rod connecting the drive wheels with the cylinders. Tyco had a Hong Kong firm manufacture alot of their items & some were also made in Europe. Your engine is a good puller!
Yes this engine is not that rare, the Chattanooga was a way better engine than this version was. but yes this one pops up on ebay quite often
