Perfection & Irony Ch.29

i am sooo sorry. i've been so busy for the past week and haven't had time at all to upload this.

The boys got home from their interviews a little after 1. Nick walked straight to his room, Joe went to Caras room and Kevin went looking for the rest of the family.

"Care bear. Wake up"
Cara moaned and rolled over. Joe laughed lightly and sat next to her.
"Tired?"
He asked. She nodded and looked up at Joe. His very dark brown curls falling onto her face as he leaned forward.
"I love you"
Cara smiled and kissed Joe's cheek.
"I love you too"
Joe lied next to her and pulled her into his arms. Cara took in his refreshing scent and sighed.
"The family's going out to dinner tonight"
"casual?"
"not this time. Semi-casual"
Joe answered. Cara nodded and buried her face into his shirt.

"Helloo?"
Kevin's voice rang through the house. Amanda and Aimee were sitting on the couch talking and laughing.
"Hey girls"
Kevin greeted them. Giving them both a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey"
they replied and continued talking.
"So, what have you been up too?"
"Talking"
Amanda stated. Aimee nodded and looked over at Kevin who smiled.
"my girls"
He sat between them and pulled both of them into rib crushing hugs
"Kevin"
Amanda whined. Kevin laughed and let the two gossiping girls go.
"So what are you two talking about?"
"You"
Aimee said
"What about me?"
Kevin asked narrowing his eyes
"The stuff you do for love"
Kevins eyes grew wide and Amanda and Aimee laughed.
"You didnt seriously tell her about that?"
"oh sure I did. Its the funniest thing ever"
"yea it is"
Amanda agreed, Kevin moaned and stood up.
"I love you Kev"
"yea you too"
Kevin rolled his eyes and walked upstairs.




Nick slammed his bedroom door shut and flung his body onto his bed. Interviews always stressed him out. He sighed and closed his eyes. Everything about his life was so wrong. Jasmine cheating on him, Joe hating Amanda, Not to mention the talk with his dad. Nick sighed and stuffed his face into his pillow.
"Nicholas?"
A small voice said. Nick didnt reply, hoping this person would just go away.
No noise was coming from the other side of the door so he guessed they had left.
Nick lied on his bed until 6 o'clock, staring at the ceiling.
"Nicholas, sweetie"
His mother knocked on the door.
"Come in"
His mom walked in and Amanda was right behind her.
"mommy, I dont feel good"
Nick complained. Of course he was lying. Anything to get out of going to dinner with Jasmine. He couldnt face her at this moment.
"Well you could stay home sweetie"
"Thanks mom"
Amanda eyed him suspiciously and sat next to him on the bed.
"I dont think Nick should stay home by himself if he's sick"
"Your right dear, Ill ask if Jasmine wants to stay with Nick"
Nicks eyes widened. His mom didnt know anything about the break up
"no mom, I'll stay home with Nick."
"No, you should come with us"
"no, you dont need picture of me all over the internet labeled as mystery girl"
"alright. Ill go tell your father"
Denise sighed and closed the door on her way out.
"okay, Spill"
Amanda sat next to Nick. He sighed and rested his head on her lap.
"Nick, whats wrong?"
"How do you know something's wrong?"
"You didnt eat lunch and youve been in here for about 5 hours.
"Im just stressed out"
"About what?"
Amanda ran her fingers through Nicks curls.
"Stuff"
"Nicholas. Im your sister. You can tell me anything. Plus I owe you."
"Jasmine"
"Hmm. Thats what I thought. Look Nick, I love you and all, but you can't be such a wimp. Face her like a real man"
Nick laughed at Amandas pep talk.
"Fine. I'll go"
"good"
Nick walked out of his room and downstairs.
"Mom, Ill go to dinner with you guys"
"Are you sure?"
"Yepp"
"Alright, were leaving in 10"
Nick nodded and walked upstairs to his room. He quickly changed and walked back downstairs.
