  • To those who say that the XD is just a copy of another companies [glock] design, you have not held or shot one. They could not be more different. I'll mention just a few; natural point and shoot ergonomics, accuracy, loaded chamber indicator, cocked indicator, and not to mention that the take down is different as well. Just because you might think it looks like a Glock, its not, its better.

  • @Bobsonomatic i see you claim it is american designed pistol, well you are wrong,. i work in HS produkt factory in Karlovac and i was among the team of the people who tested it. we signed contract in 2001. with your Spriengfield armory that supllies american army , police and fbi with weapons, and xd is original croatian design, only wearing springfield ''badge'' foramerican market, so i would adwise you to first read and inform, and then act smart

  • Clint is awesome, I just wish I could find out what vitamins he takes. I want that kind of energy.

  • Oh, and I DO keep the gun holstered while in the car, but also keep a piece in the center console full time anyway so that any holster fumbling or seat belt issues don't come into play. A good alternative to this might be a paddle-style holser that allows moving the gun in its holster to forward of the outside hip. This makes for a crossdraw if you're a right-handed shooter and driving, gets the gun out of the way of the seat belt, and keeps the gun holstered while moving it for added safety.

  • Just to weigh in on the carry methodology going on here. I'm a CHP/pistol instructor and while there is nothing really wrong with carrying with a round in the chamber or not (or not carrying at all; hey what's liberty without choice), it's perfectly safe and better prepared to carry with a chambered round provided the gun is holstered properly. I would never allow an 8 year old to mess with my holstered handgun in the first place. That's a responsibility propblem, not a mechanical safety problem

  • @stonepown .22 would be a bad choice, does not have any stoping power and is high velocity. Deterrent weapons are measured by their stopping/knockdown power. If you are worried about lethal magnitude then consider 9mm shockrounds. Rubber bullets with electrical shock stimulant.

  • @naireland Weird, I've never heard anyone ever teach you to unholster your weapon. Must be why cops always do that, oh wait, they don't! Glad you can see the future that you'll always have both arms availible to rack a round into the chamber. Also, an 8 year old pulling the gun out is not a chambered round. It's having a unconcealed gun without having any retention. I will stick to official training that both experts and professionals use and that is keeping a round in the chamber.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR as for one in the chamber without a mechanical safety it is how my former neighbor was shot. while using leather holster an 8 year old pulled the weapon out trigger first. Shot to the upper thigh with a golddot. I have mastered the ability to rack a round in a matter of miliseconds to the point where it is instinctive. For practicality and safety it is what I choose. If you want to have one in the pipe go for it, couldn't care less. I want to be proficient in all extremes.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR Seatbelt son, seatbelt. Thats why they teach you in CCW training to not holster a weapon while driving as it is harder to deploy under diress with a seatbelt covering it. As for official training I have been a CCW for 4 years, had one incident requiring a draw. Taken 2 classes, advanced pistol training, and pistol draw and speed techniques. I have an AR15, XD9, M2 that I compete with in 3 gun shoot.

  • HS-PRODUKT MADE IN CROATIA THE BEST GUN

  • I have both Glock`s and XD`s

Glock is a decent gun but XD is the better gun
