I'm going to throw you guys a curveball: Jinzoningen Kikaider.
How?
Simple, Kikaider is a humanoid henshin robot who has a dual color scheme, Red against blue. (ProtoMan and Mega, respectively)
He has a younger brother named Saburo, or Hakaider. Both forms wear black with gold accents (Bass), while Saburo wears a yellow scarf and appears while whistling (Protoman)
Another link: Kikiader (the robot)'s creator is Dr. Komyoji. Significance? Komyoji means BRILLIANT LIGHT.

I loved this, but i feel like you were too dismissive with the origins of Halo and Uncharted. I know the point of this show is to examine classic games, and i know you have a bias towards classic games, but i feel you could have delved deep into Halo's influence by modern classics like War of the Worlds, Starship Troopers, or Alien. The adventure archaeologist is its own trope as well, and has its roots in the real life exploits of real life badasses, including one T.E. Lawrence.
