台灣要成為一個現代民主國家，還有一段很長的距離。我們需要一場真正的革命，一場有關尊嚴、自信、正義、勇氣和追求真實的內在革命。




他們為尊嚴奮戰到底




自尊不是一切，但沒有自尊，就一無所有。讓我們先從「尊嚴」談起吧。




楊淑君事件第一次爆發時，是「尊嚴」問題，包括個人尊嚴和國家尊嚴。最近沸沸揚揚的楊淑君被迫撤告事件，讓全國體育總會會長陳建平「吞不下去」，拔劍而起，為楊淑君仗義執­言。這件事也是「尊嚴」問題。我相信陳建平爭的是作為一個運動員的尊嚴。我為他喝采。




不久前，一位在廟旁擺攤的婦人，向吳敦義院長嗆聲，被警員圍堵盤問。這位婦人非常憤怒大聲嗆警員：「現在是怎樣？戒嚴了嗎？」警員只好快步閃人。婦人為捍衛尊嚴而反擊。我­為她喝采。




前故宮博物院院長石守謙為了捍衛清白，三年來幾乎傾家蕩產打官司，為的是不讓不義的司法踐踏自己的尊嚴；前交通部長郭瑤琪，也正在為尊嚴與清白奮戰到底。我為他們喝采。




從一九九五年至二○○七年，辜寬敏先生多次前往華府進行遊說。辜先生總是以充滿自信的口吻告訴美方政要：「你們在南韓和日本花了多少軍費，可是對台灣你們沒有花一毛錢，只­用了一張紙─台灣關係法，不是嗎？你們覺得台海和平重要，是基於美國在西太平洋的國家利益，你們看重這一點就夠了。你們有你們的國家利益，台灣人也有台灣人的立場。」他的­堅定和自信，贏得了美方朋友的敬重。我為他喝采。




尊嚴：最重要的存在價值




這就是台灣人的尊嚴與驕傲。尊嚴重不重要？當然重要。尊嚴是最重要的存在價值。尊嚴和自信，更是一體的兩面。自尊強烈的人，通常都是充滿自信的人。因為他對自己的信念和價­值充滿信心，必要時也願意為此奮戰到底。




辜寬敏曾說：「一個人如果從小不懂得為捍衛自己的尊嚴，必要時和別人吵架或打架，這種人長大了大概也不會捍衛自己的國家。」

蔡英文提出「全球化」的執政目標，視野令人欽佩。全球化固然重要，但是，沒有根的全球化，就像是沙漠中的海市蜃樓，只是脆弱的美麗幻影。更重要的是，我們需要一場從根救起­的內在革命，從本土教育和文化的基礎工程扎實做起，重建台灣人的尊嚴和信心，讓台灣人在全球化的競爭座標中，清楚知道自己的定位與存在價值。

@LUONG4YAHWEH 46% of the population voted for the other party. It's like saying ALL Vietnamese supported the communists, which isn't true. Taiwan is not going to fight Asian neighbors. Let me ask you, when was the last time Taiwan fought it's neighbors? Supporting KMT (which I don't) also doesn't mean supporting "unificiation" with China. It doesn't mean that we want to go to war with other Asians. 80% of Taiwan wants to keep the status quo...

@Taipei2Tokyo So now what are we going to do with Taiwan after the disappointing election results? The majority of Taiwanese want to be closer to china at the expense of all the other Asian nations. Pretty soon, Taiwan might even go to war on china's side to fight fellow Asian neighbors.

@Taipei2Tokyo Hello my Taiwanese friend. I totally support the DPP. But Taiwan recently entered the Paracel & Spartley islands which both belong to Vietnam. Taiwan should return them to Vietnam to stop chinese imperialism. Also, did you hear about Taiwan surrendering some of these islands to china? This happened just last mouth. Please keep me informed

@LUONG4YAHWEH If the DPP wins, they are ardent Anti-China. They take the side of anybody that opposes china, unless Taiwan lays claim to a territory as well. But Taiwan does not lay claim to any territory that is claimed by any southeast asian nations.

Sorry buddy, but I think you're in the minority. If Taiwan wants to be known as supporting the enemies of china, you have to be a whole lot more serious than just lip service. We need more concrete proof such as military aid & intelligence to Vietnam as well as political support. @VNKillschinks I fully support Vietnam as well as other countries. They have rightful claims to their territories. The KMT makes me sick to the stomach. They should not have ever fled to Taiwan in the first place. Both the KMT and the CCP should go find a hotel room because to me, they are one and the same.
