Don't worry, if an egg isn't fertilized (which I'm assuming it wasn't), it will never become anything more than an egg. This is the equivalent of dropping an egg in the kitchen while cooking.

damn... why wasn't there anybody to catch the egg? I mean, I would be so sorry for this young mother had she lost her baby. If someone was there, would that person probably save the egg and would the young mom be able to hatch her newborn chick? Please respond!
