  • I have one question sir

the sega saturn model 1 has a different power supply line; you have to connect a power supply cable to the motherboard. I was wondering if you are allowed to solder the botton of the motherboard that connects to the pins(power supply), instead of soldering on the top like you did for ground and +5.

thank you and your vids arew helpful :)

  • @superwawa - Hey mate, soldering to the bottom of the board is fine - just make sure you've got the right pin/voltage with a multimeter and your away :)

  • Thanks for the tuto. very well explained. One doubt: my console is a mk-80000 model, and the jumpers in the motherboard matches those listed in the two last pics from the "Common Jumper Locations" session in your site, but the motherboard has no SW4, it's just a blank area there. Is there a way to use this mod? i had even assembled the pic board, and writren the program in the pic.

  • @Shoometsu - Hey there - SW4 is for the 50/60hz mod, and its common not to have it, have another look at my website, theres another couple of pics there show what to do if you don't have the SW4 :) Cheers!

  • @TheDamoMonster Thanks! installed here and the mod is working perfectly. I just changed the region order (1 - usa; 2-jap; 3-eur) and the led colors (1-green, 2-red; 3-orange), before wrting the program in the PIC. this is an awesome mod, I always wanted something without switches and which unlocks those three regions in my saturn :D

  • @Shoometsu - Awesome mate - its a wicked mod aye :) Enjoy dude!!

  • this tutorial is great, that was an amazing job :)

  • @TheDamoMonster Thanks for the info and for confirming the factory supplied LED is 5mm. Cheers.

  • @DLiberator78 - Hey man, you can use a 3mm or a 5mm as you glue a new one in.. I think this vid uses a 3mm, but the factory one is a 5mm :) Cheers!

  • I have a question about the LED used for this mod in this video. Is it a: Dual Color Led 5mm Green & Red COMMON ANODE 3PIN or is it a 3mm? Cheers.
