Elessa or someone answer this please! I have tried to do this hairstyle multiple times but when i twist my hair and push it forward, it like splits down the middle. I get like two sideways poofs with a part in the middle. I don't know why or how to fix it!

But my hair is so thin & dry,if I even tried doing the 'back comb' I would have to cut all my hair after but I want to make the pufff big time :(

I have really long, thick hair. My ponytails never stay where I put them, even if it's a new hair elastic. Because of that I can't do a hairstyle like this. Is there a way to prevent that?
