  • This is bull, I've been collecting and shooting guns for 10 years. These people will use anything to try and take away our right to bare arms.

  • If guns are to blame, then it's my cars fault if I hit somebody!!!! Blaming guns is about as stupid as getting mad at a mirror for what it shows you, or taxing people for carbon dioxide(every person on the planet without exception exhales it and plants THRIVE on it) or outlawing a plant that was here before any of us and GOD put here!!

  • @RetSquid Check out Geraldo Rivera and Ed Scultz interviews with the guy. Point being, he drew his gun. And point being, you haven't addressed my other point about how easily unarmed people stopped the actual shooter.

In any case, you're proving to me something I've been suspecting for a while now - that gun rights advocates will not give an inch on their position on guns short of a massive amount of bloodshed at the hands of a "good guy" packing heat.

  • @JRserver

From your link: "I had my hand on the butt of my gun." and "I put my hand on my gun and ran out." He NEVER SAYS HE DREW HIS WEAPON.

  • @RetSquid Sent it to you in a PM.

  • @JRserver

Show where he said he drew his gun.

  • @JRserver

No, he NEVER said that he drew it. If 50:1 is good odds, why did 33 die at VA tech? Is 33:1 bad odds? He never pulled his gun because he saw the 'shooter' was not a threat, the gun was empty, the slide was locked back.

  • @RetSquid Then the guy's changing his story, since he came right out and said he took the safety off his gun and had it drawn.

BTW, aren't you overlooking something here - specifically that, according to this version of events you're touting, he disarmed an armed man (the wrong man, but an armed one, nonetheless) and did so without pulling a gun, as did, btw the guys who pinned down the actual shooter.

Sounds to me like fifty unarmed people vs one armed man are pretty good odds.

  • @JRserver

He saw the slide was locked back, the gun was no longer a threat. How could he pin him down with only one hand? The gun was in an inside jacket pocket, unless he was upside down, it wouldn't have fallen out.

So everyone with a gun is a complete moron to you? To get a CCW you have to be 21 in most States and have training. There are hundreds of thousands of defensive gun uses every year in the U.S. that don't end up with someone getting shot.
