2007 was the year of GT1 at Le Mans.6 Aston Martins(006,007,008,009,100,62 ),2 Corvettes[up front](63,64),and 2 Saleen S7Rs(the numbers escapes me).I mean, the only car that was missing were the MC12 Corsas.

They got to make all the LMP1 cars equal, open cockpit or closed, petrol or diesel. Every year they do something that means a car have a definate advantage over the other cars. Both types of cars have made le mans what is is over the years, the bently and the audi R10 are the cars that have made new people love le mans every year, hopefully next years race willl be a classic battle between peugeot, audi, pescarolo and maybe prodrive.

No one knows, but it's probably going to get extented for 2009 and even maybe 2010. Don't know is even ACO sure what happens after 2010. Plans are open.

Pescarolo has a fraction of the budget that Audi and Peugeot have. Plus, the turbodiesels get 37.5 % more displacement than turbo'd gasoline/ethanol/etc engines.
