SolaRoof greenhouse is in production in Poland - created by Ali Kasap and support from inventor, Richard Nelson. Liquid Bubble Insulation creates a high insulation roof and wall - gone in the day (except if used for shading) and generated as required at night, the bubbles insulate 20 times better then typical greenhouse coverings.

  • This bubble machine took about 30 minutes to fill. However we are equipping with two quieter blower type bubble units that work in tandem to fill in less than 10 minutes. Video of the improved system will be posted by next February. Keep an eye on this space for many more examples of bubble greenhouses!

  • Howlong does it take to fill?

  • @rollinshultz since this project was equipped with one bubble machine (two units is standard) it took about 20 minutes but the standard configuration would take 5 to 10 minutes. Then bubbles remain stable for a couple to a few hours. Renewing the Liquid Bubble Insulation/Shading is done every hour or two if it is extremely hot or cold.

  • @SolaRoof Thanks for your response. How many decibels are registered during fill from the motors and the air flow of the fill? Would you suggest basement installation or outside?

  • @rollinshultz this fan is not idea - fan/motor units from residential Air-conditioner or Heat Pumps' external compressor units are relatively quiet - the bubble generator units are located in the peak of the roof - as shown in the new video of a household SolaRoofDIY - a pair of BubbleGenerators at opposite ends of the structure and located inside the cavity. This requires sealed motors, which is why the fan/motor components from the outside compressor components are best.

  • @SolaRoof Thanks for your response. How many decibels are registered during fill from the motors and the air flow of the fill? Would you suggest basement installation or outside? I live in the 18104 area code, in Allentown, Pa. where is the closest install I can examine?
