He uses his hands to show the shapes of the Thai letters. Makes sense to the Thai audience because they know the alphabet and can see that he is using his hands to 'write' the letters in the air. His postures serve to show the relative locations of the vowels; they are like satellites orbiting the initial consonant of each syllable: duu ดู (vowel underneath the consonant) เสีย เ-สี-ย sia (to the left, above and right)
His hands form the shape of the Thai letters, his posture (high vs. low) indicates where the vowels are placed around the initial consonant of each syllable
It's very simple.....sound is measured in frequency as is color....It is just that you have been structured to learn a certain way which constrains you.....
Your second sentence was almost perfect. It should have been, "That makes language learning a lot easier", or "That makes learning a language a lot easier." Good job, though.
