This was Giovani and David's 1rst Clinic together in Chicago at the Segundo Centro Cultural Ruiz Belvis in Spring 2002. This center (Ruiz Belvis) is a vital cultural institution in
the heart of Chicago's Boricua community and this event was hosted and coordinated by Mike Reyes.

  • I was fortunate to actually be there at the Ruiz Belvis Center, I was working for the Chicago Percussion Center and we supplied the percussion for these two icons.....I enjoyed it to the max......Really great to see this video after so many years.

Its about the Love for the instruments to take the conga to such a high level,& there is a humble & mutual respect between the two masters which is a great gift on this earth & should be admired!!
