this is a sonic song?
holly crap.
and i used to think Live and learn was the best sonic song. how worng i was.

There is no proof at all for that. Whilst some are undoubtedly inspired by Jackson, direct rips and total covers are certainly not what was done. Jackson had no direct involvement either.
There are also no "samples" they have made it sound the same in parts but this is not the same thing

I had only ever heard this song in Sonic. I had no idea it was an actual song!

@DLPBurke I heard it was sonic 3 (only) micheal jackson's music team worked on it NOT MJ himself, as it was just before the whole scandal happened (was gonna be a publicity trick as he was popular at time if game preproduction) jackson had zippo to do with anything, outside of if there was any signatures to allow his team to do it (im not a legitigation lawyer nor did i see his teams contract)

OMG, I cannot stop listening to this amazing song! It's just too good!

I didnt think that Tails was a girl, I thought that he was a boy, and he is =P
I thought that he was a kind of Sonic's little brother, and I thought that SEGA didnt use this song to talk about love, but talk about a strong friendship between those 2 amazing guys (or animals), because Tails saved Sonic in the last cutscene, and thats the proof of a strong friendship!!
-
@JoSilverNG Yeah, the original concept was for tails to be a female.

TAILS IS REALLY A GIRL!!!!

@davegorack Yes, this is a Sonic song, but it was used in Sonic 2, in the credits, you can hear it, just go in the options =D

Happy birthday sonic :)
Ahh, Great memories. I have the Japanese version of this, I didn't know they did an english one. Regardless, it's a great song. Did you know they used another song's melody for Star Light Zone from Sonic 1? It's called
"Kusuriyubi no Kesshin"

I have that song on my iPod actually. ^-^
They used quite a few of their song's melodies in the first two games. They also used "Marry Me?" for Green Hill Zone.
I'll send you a link to a video that shows some of the songs that share tunes with Sonic songs.
