  • i whacked a m90 eaton in my 179, it goes like the clappers. why did you shift down, you should have left it in top gear and accelerated.

  • the main reason was at 2k revs its well under the cam which starts at 2800 rpm. more grunt over that and it sounds better.

i have seen yr car its a realy nice set up.

    cheers

  • @mr45acpp mine is different, i get more blower sound accelerating with a load, but not as instant.

i think the m90 is quiter than the sc14, i dont hear any blower noise at all till the boost guage rises i will get a video up soon but at the moment my trimatic seems to have gone out for lunch

  • mine needs an auto and stall converter... one day...

  • awesome car Steve, is that reservoir rd???

  • @slavetotheblues u sure mate? last time i did some research, blue 6s had the 12 port heads too.

  • Also the LS-1 + twin turbo, I think you'll find that $14k will not stretch far.

And again your state regs can really rain on your parade.

Which ever way you go, just make sure to do the whole job. Every part is designed and taken into account.

And those 350+Kw jobs sound great but it might be a purely race engine.

Anyway wish you all the best and hope you get it done. Stay safe.

  • Hi ILSI,

If you want your HQ to handle better check out the HQ racing specs. Even installing new spirngs, shock, bushes etc will help heaps. Also if you're not doing the work yourself, look into a 'good' suspension shop, that knows how to set up your car.

The 12 port you're refering to was only on the black blocks. Not sure on your state but if you have a red block, stick with it as updateing to a later year can open a whole can of worms with the transport department.

  • @mr45acpp yeah just give it 2800, it will feel like a normal car on the street and highway but will give it enough room to stall it up into the power range, my box and stall convertor was $70 on ebay, now its blown up and there is nothing simular on ebay so its going to cost me $1300 to rebuild
