STAR WARS: The SITH RESURRECTION Trailer

This was a pitch that Matt Busch and Shawn Sheehan proposed to Lucasfilm a few years back. The idea was for a full-length STAR WARS feature with animated Matt Busch art, for a straight-to-DVD release. The pitch was badly timed upon Lucasfilm's agreement with Cartoon Network's CLONE WARS series. However, much of The SITH RESURRECTION was completed, including the first 12 minutes of the feature.

Yes- this was a real proposal. Keep in mind- this animation is OLD- over a decade. As well, these are just animatics for the proposal, not necessarily polished/finished animation. So relax.

This animatic is interesting. It would have been nifty to see if LucasFilm had made this into an actual series. So how did the pitch go? Was it well accepted, but just at a bad time (e.g. Clone Wars production) ?

You didn't really give us enough story or offer anything that would really pull me in or grab and hold my attention.if you hadn't added captions saying that a new Sith Lord had arrived I wouldn't know what was going on and think this nothing more than a tribute to Star Wars. I understand that one can only work with the tools one has and I'm not trying to be mean or hurtful, I just didn't like it. Again, from one SW fan to another, I'm not being mean just telling you the truth.

firstly I'm a massive starwars fan, secondly this is gay, thirdly AND MOST IMPORTANTLY if u are going to ask Lucas to do anything it should be to complete the original films, ie: starwars 7 8 and 9 where the storyline is that Boba Fett has survived the Sarlacc and Zorba the hutt is chasing Luke Skywalker for killing his son. May the force be with you all.
