DOMA? Defending rights? Please. DOMA violates multiple aspects of the constitution, including the 14th Amendment. DOMA does not defend rights, it stripped rights, violated due process and equal protection as well as full faith and credit.

Sorry, but no culture has "rights." Rights only apply to individuals. It is very sad that someone would be ignorant of that fact.

Except how it is. You do know that the cost of being a gay couple in America is between $400,000 and $40,000 more than a straight couple simply because of DOMA? Plus there's that stuff about wills and hospital visitation. Yeah, not about rights at all.
