@SBWaffelmann ... I can think of 9 good things that made this movie bad... 1: Jar-Jar, GOD is he annoying! 2: This focuses too much on politics not war. 3: The war between the Jar-Jar people and the droids is lame... Especially with Jar-Jar, 4: The Darth Maul just looks silly, 5: The Yoda puppet looks terrible, 6: The child anakin is annoying, 7: The only point of this movie was things that no one cared about, 8: The acting sucks! 9: What was the point of Qui-Gon?

@SBWaffelmann What? Whaaaat? Deeper characters than the other movies? I've seen Star Wars FAN videos with deeper characters than any seen in this movie.

I don't know why but I do think the aperture they shoot episode 1 in was brilliant, compared to the rest of the prequels. But that's maybe just me.

i have to say that this movie was almost an epic fail, not to criticize or anything, i love star wars don't get me wrong, but the only cool thing about this movie was Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, and Qui-Gon fighting. but still star wars rules!

i was talking about Anakin not coming back for his mother before he was accepted by the Jedi to be trained because this is the point where he became the hero by blowing up the reactor from within the control spacecraft. He could have asked Queen Amidala to buy off his mother from slavery. Even if he is in training he knew how hard it was to live as a slave esp. for his mother. It's really very very strange that he would all of a sudden forget about his mother. I mean its not very realistic!!!

Because Jedi are bound to their religion, to the ways of the Jedi, they devote their entire lives to the religion. And if he had bought out his mother then none of the films would of happened, it was because he saw his mother in pain... that turned him the way he was, he feared for her. "fear is the path to the dark side, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering" Yes he wanted more power, but seeing his mother suffer like that made him angry.
