@CobaltKris Not all of them are banshees though. Serena, I've gathered, as well as Venus it depends on effort. They really ARE hitting harder when they start to grunt. Kvitova is so quiet and when she does grunt, it's adorable, lol. Ivanovic isn't a big grunter...the loud grunters are more the exception (Sharapova, Azarenka, MLDB) than the rule.

Like I said, when Seles was doing it, it was kinda rare... nowadays both players are probably going to be shrieking like banshees and it absolutely sucks as a spectator.

i hate how everybody focuses on the grunt when there was beautiful tennis being played, specially by Serena. it's not even the worst grunt out there, hadn't Rezai made such a fuss about it people wouldn't be so obsessed over it.

wish the commentators would quit talking about serena and michelle's grunts. michelle doesnt even grunt loud any more.
