Thank you all for reading! I may update once or twice more! Well, here’'s the moment I know you’'ve been waiting for: Kate and Kevin are about to explain EVERYTHING!

Chapter Nine: Left Unsaid

Kate POV

{Wow. I didn'’t think Kevin would be this emotional. I can'’t believe I was starting to think he wouldn'’t want to see me or he’'d be mad or something.}

I hugged him tighter and was about to lean down and kiss his forehead softly when I heard a voice.

Nick: Care to explain?

Kevin’'s head didn’'t move. He seemed to be blocking out everything but me. I shook him softly and he calmed down enough to stand up straight again and wipe away his tears. I always hated seeing him like this. I turned to Nick.

Kate: You never told them?
Kevin: I didn’'t want to. I wanted to forget. It was so hard for me.
Kate: I understand.

All this time, Mary and Sophia had been staring at me and Kevin. I think Mary was hurt badly. She loved Kevin. Perhaps I should have told her. But she wouldn’'t have believed me. Nor would Sophia have. I'’d have to tell her later.

Mary: Oh.
Sophia: My.
Mary & Sophia: JONAS!

Nick and Kevin gave them this look that said, "“What the heck?”"

Nick: I didn’'t know we got our own exclamation.
Kate: Yeah, it’s gone around for a while.
Mary: So where’'s that explanation?

I sighed. This would be hard to get out. But then, Kevin surprised me.

Kevin: I'’ll tell them. It was my fault all of this happened.
Kate: You sure?
Kevin: Yeah. But not until after the concert. Joe should know.

On stage, I heard Joe rapping something about corn.

Nick: Yeah. And we need to finish the concert.
Kevin: I think I’'m good to go.
Kate: Rock it.

And then he did something I missed. He pulled me over to him and kissed me softly on the lips.

Kevin: *whispering* I missed you.
Kate: *whispering* Me too. Now go do your thing.

Mary POV

We stayed backstage for the rest of the concert. When they got to SOS, Kate imitated Kevin’'s dance perfectly. I felt so betrayed by her.

{I can’t believe what I just saw. Oh, Kevin, my only love, how could this be? How could Kate not have told me you met? Ohhh…...}

Sophia noticed my sulking.

Sophia: Don’'t worry. It'’ll all be explained soon.
Mary: I'’m not confused. Well, I am, but that’'s not why I’'m like this. I love Kevin! I never thought anyone, especially Kate, would take him from me!
Sophia: You actually thought you two had a chance?
Mary: *sighs* In my daydreams…...

She just sighed. Before I knew it, the concert was over, and the guys came backstage. Nick had informed Joe with what had happened during his corn rap, and as they came in, I couldn’'t help but glare into Kate'’s eyes for a moment as Kevin sat next to her.

Kevin POV

{Here it goes. The most important thing I think I'’ll ever talk about. To me, at least.}

Kevin: Well, it all began two months after we became the “Jonas Brothers”. Kate met me at a party. It was one of my friend’'s friend’'s parties. Apparently it was the same for Kate. We chatted and Kate gave me her number because she wanted to hear every song before it came out. I ended up asking her if she wanted to get lunch. Months later, we knew we were in love. Unfortunately, our first set of concerts was coming up, and I knew Kate couldn’'t come with us. I knew we'’d have to do something. And what I did I’'ve always regretted. I broke up with her. I broke up because she wouldn'’t be able to keep up and it just wouldn’'t work. *puts hand on Kate’s hand* I'’m still not sure what to do, though. I'’m still in love with her.

Um. Well, personally, I think Kate & Kevin SHOULD get back together, but maybe having them get together, but then something prevents them from doing so (e.g. concerts, tour, etc) might make a better story. I don't really know, it's up to you, haha. :D
