  • To me, "the bible didn't mention" us part is saying that their love simply wasn't meant to be. And that's why she has to go. Because it's unhealthy </3 Just how I interpret it, because, well, I've never really had that perfect love people dream about and I'm very prone to screwing things up, so it jst relates to me in that way.

  • this is a pure poetry she made and sang in the memory of her male friend who died of cancer, not the biblestory of samson and delilah.

    - the bible DIDN'T mention them coz they are not the real samson and delilah

    - wonderbread is the chemo, or medicine that makes him still live

    - the "sheets of paper" is the diagnosis

    - cutting of hair she did was alright for him since he knows that soon he'll loose his hair due to the chemo

  • i think its about how samson and her love was forbinden and that she was not suppose to cut his hair but she did it any way because of there love

  • This song is about WHATEVER you think it's about!!!

  • @MayialsoComment That's so depressing! Why couldn't it be happy? :( Thanks for the interpretation though. Much appreciated.

  • I cry every time I hear this song. So much meaning.

  • This song isn't actually about Delilah, or a man with cancer. But it is about the bible story Samson and Delilah. It's supposedly about another woman before Delilah, sort of like a secret love of Samson's, though she wasn't mentioned in the bible or anywhere else. He really loved her though and trusted her, hence the fact that he let her cut his own hair. But he came to love Delilah and moved on, but she didn't. This is her sorrow song-of missing him and yearning for him-remembering him. Hope t
