"But it can't just be mine alone! What are you gonna use?" girls nowadays would say "OMG dad! I wanted the purple one! This is so lame! Ugh! This is so embaressing!!!" and they wouldn't thank the parent that they got a computer at all, they wouldn't offer to share it, and they wouldn't care if the parent had their own computer or not!
