I am a teacher of idioms including Greek and hebrew in Brazil.
In my opinion the New World Translation is the most accurate translation of the Bible. Some differencies are due to the greater accuracy of the NW as a literal and modern translation. See two examples !

I share the opinion of Professor kedar, Greg Stafford and Jason Beduhn about this Bible translation.

Professor Benjamin Kedar, a Professor of History and Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, said in 1989: "In my linguistic research in connection with the Hebrew Bible and translations, I often refer to the English edition of what is known as the New World Translation. In so doing, I find my feeling repeatedly confirmed that this work reflects an honest endeavor to achieve an understanding of the text that is as accurate as possible."

In 2003 Jason BeDuhn, associate professor of religious studies at Northern Arizona University in the United States, published a 200-page study of nine of "the Bibles most widely in use in the English-speaking world," including the New American Bible, The King James Bible and The New International Version. His study examined several passages that are considered controversial, where "bias is most likely to interfere with translation". For each passage, he compared the Greek text with the renderings of each English translation, and looked for biased attempts to change the meaning. BeDuhn states that the general public and many Bible scholars assume that the differences in the New World Translation (NW) are due to religious bias on the part of its translators, but adds: "Most of the differences are due to the greater accuracy of the NW as a literal, conservative translation." Though BeDuhn disagrees with certain renderings of the New World Translation, he says that "it emerges as the most accurate of the translations compared," calling it a "remarkably good" translation

  • Actually, according to Strong's Definition #1697 ("Word(s)" in NWT, Darby Bible, Douay-Rheims Bible, The Message OR "Commandments" in KJV, NKJV, ASV, NASB, RSV, NRSV, ESV), its translation is "words" or "matters". Ironically, the best translation is none of the above-- the most accurate translation is "Matters" which done only by YLT (Young's Literal Translation, 1898)!

  • @wjcharlieee "DAVAR" MEANS "word" DEVARIM is the plural "words" so easy to understand man! TEN WORDS is the exact translation of ASERETH HA DEVARIM.

  • GOOD JOB

  • THANK YOU for this video. Its nice to see you explain that our translation is accurate. We knew that and did not need to be convinced. Yes the Translation Committee got it right and God's name, Jehovah appears correctly in all locations about 7,000 times as it was in the original text. There are people out there that KNOW NOTHING about this subject and do nothing but criticise us for example TheLadyTamar who hates us and knows nothing about the subject. THANKS AGAIN thejwtruth

  • jws have actually translated the nwt version into over 500 languages!!

  • What is truly remarkable now is that the NWT is now in over 100 languages. In many of these languages, such as Japanese and others, it is the most popular and widely distributed of ANY translation. It is really a reliable translation that helps the reader understand the original message without using words like "hell" and "ghost" that have changed their meaning over time. Instead it uses "sheol" "hades" and "spirit" so that the reader can interpret without false notions.

  • I really appreciate this video. From my understanding, the Devine group that wrote the NWT was divinely and spiritually guided by Jehovah to make known what many have taken away from the Word. No need for fancy education when you have "Devine Guidance"!

  • Accurately translating the entire Bible from the original ancient Greek, ancient Hebrew, and ancient Aramaic is a task requiring a considerable degree of technical expertise. It is a job for bona fide Greek and Hebrew scholars. It is not a job for amateurs or dilettantes armed with a lexicon and having little real understanding of the subtleties of Greek and Hebrew grammar....at the same time leaving out context surrounding a phrase that will greatly assist in the right interpretation.

  • I have seen all the bad remarks about the NWT,but i have to say this book is awsome

    thank you

  • @queruvimwj It is good to hear someone who understands the original languages praise a translation that has come under so much unwarranted attack.
