It is Valentine's Day February 14th 2009 and the Hot Five Jazzmakers (all seven of 'em) are running through some of their many "sweetheart songs"

This lovely old tune was written in 1913 by James Kendis with lyric by Lou Klein.
Ldr/trombonist Brian Towers takes the vocal and is supported by Janet Shaw - reeds; Andrej Saradin - cornet; Jamie Macpherson - banjo; Colin Bray - string bass (bowing nicely!) Reide Kaiser - pianokeyboard and Gary Scriven sitting in on washboard and percussion.
It was also the band's twentieth anniversary of Saturday jazz matinees at their favourite Toronto watering hole - "C'est what?" 67 Front St E, downtown Toronto.
Luckily Barry Tripp was there to record the afternoon with his video camera! Many thanks Barry!
