Mr Kesava Reddy Mannur BSc, MBBS, FRCS, FRCS (gen surg) is an experienced Upper GI surgeon who has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery since 1990 and obesity surgery/weight loss surgery since 1998. He has performed more than 2000 bariatric surgeries including 1000 gastric bypasses. He is the director of bariatric surgery at the Homerton University Hospital.

He demonstrated the first laparoscopic gastric band in Chennai in Jan 2004 and since then has been conducting courses in UK and India. He trains a number of surgeons in bariatric surgery. He performs around 10 gastric bypasses and sleeve gastrectomies a week. Mr Mannur also performs laparoscopic gastrectomy and oesophagectomy for cancers and frequently helps Urologists and Gynaecologists to perform nephrectomy and hysterectomy respectively.
