  • read the star ship troopers.... :D

great book. *but I had to read it second time before it occured to me how genius book it was.

  • I believe I have every book and story written by Robert Heinlein and I read them all every year...I can almost quote from them as if they were religious writings! I am currently reading Stranger in a Strange Land and once again I am "in the nest" and trying to "grok" everything that is going on around me.

  • It seems that if we were to borrow some of RAH's concepts in our society, it might be a better place...

  • We'd all be alot better off if our society was ore like the one from Starship Troopers (Novel not the book)

  • You get the best idea of RAH's vision by reading his books from the late 40's and early 50's.

You also get an amazing view of a growth of world view as you read his later books.

I think I have read them all - at least all that I have been able to find in the last 50 years or so - a wonderful voyage.

  • @bkiene you're a G

  • lol born 1907 not 1970

  • I love his idea that true citizenship should be EARNED, and that you should need one in order to participate in politics. You should not gaincitizenship just for incidentally existing.

  • @bkiene hey I'm 'in the nest" now too!

  • @bkiene Why not? :) Especially considering that I have never been Michael (Jubal Harshaw is still my heroe). Last week I tried for the first time to tell my son (7) that a "door into summer" was not necessarily a real door and that writers like to describe things a bit different... however, all the best to you from Germany :D
