Experimental Earth and solar system animation that was created with a custom renderer built from scratch in C++ without using any 3D library or hardware. Planet sizes are to scale, but positions are not. Doesn't use some of the more advanced rendering techniques available in professional animation software, but the Earth texture is pretty detailed.

  • Marble Madness :)

As a test for doing 3D without DirectX or OpenGL, as you claim, it is ok.

But i doubt it should show up when looking for educational stuff.

  • why there is an effect of flashlight on each planet, like if you are looking at them holding a torch))
