Every real trucker knows how it is when you want to be home as fast as you can... that means that you have to work long hours, drive fast.. and night is the best time to do it...
this video shows you SOME situations.. It dont mean that my father drives in this style all time..

Looks like you need to live a bit in the reality.. It's even not a secret that many drivers are braking rules about rest times... Maybe you dont see them a lot, because, probably, you are lazy and you are not working at nights...
Anyway, you will never understand those truckers, because you have another conditions and you have only about 50% of problems that our trucker's has... In Latvia we have a expression "Setieted person dont understand a person who is hungry".
