  • I loved this movie in so many ways. Usually I don't like Movies based off books but this one is an exception. I loved every bit of it, lots of sad parts. When Séraphin was holding his money, the way he was holding it and the music in the background was really well put out. The sadest moment for me though is when Séraphin's house catches on fire, and he says" Je brule, c'est moi qui brule" Knowing thats from the book also made me a little teary, and when he died...I loved Séraphin !!

  • Mudiach your words are so true... I agree totally with you! I loved so much this movie too!!! Kat

  • Such a fantastic movie. By far the best french movie I've ever seen...

Superbe! :)

  • @Mudiach you dick,you ruined the movie :(

  • @lorenzom1974 I was refering to the story, based on a roman from Claude-Henrin Grignon, written in 1933. In the book, the story takes place in the Laurentides, Québec, like in the movie.

  • I have been looking for this movie so many years! (since I was twelve... now I'm nineteen). Say what this film means for me seems unnecesary, but... well, in just a word, beautiful.

  • this movie is fantastic saw it the first time I moved to canada, and I always loved Roy Dupuis, I cried tears to this, very hard movie but an excellent one

  • @neeblina Canadian and not Quebecois! more than 50% of the production crew ARE NOT from Quebec!

  • i watched this movie in my French class. i just about cried b/c it was so sad. it is was also very divine and had brilliant acting

  • @OrangeHiggins21 Mmh.
