An all-male choir with pre-pubescent boys for the alto and soprano, interesting. I wouldn't say it's basically "better" than with women or girls (maybe the males harmonize more effectively, but then you're missing out on variety, maybe), but seemingly rarer.
I don't recall ever seeing an all-female, age-ranging choir.
