The educational game designed by John Whittaker in association with fellow trainer Crystal Summerfield and the team at CAST contributes to the delivery of Forensic Science for the BTEC Introductory Vocational Qualification—Level 1 in Applied Science. The knowledge and analytical techniques gained in the laboratory in the teaching institution can be applied to the ones in the "mock" crime scene investigation game. Many of the activities that learners carry out in the laboratory including using ink to record their fingerprints , microscopic examination , blood typing , DNA profiling, chromatographic analysis and colorimetry are identified in the game. TheProActive project was funded with support from the European Commission. Production using E-Adventure for GACET conference in Rome, Nov 17-18th 2011
