The Fennans shouldn't have lost a child. We were sad to see him go. But it's no ones fault. And the police may have made mistakes but it was what they chose to do to prevent panic.

The authorities were heartless and cruel in how they told the families whose children died. Shame on the people who organized this mess. To have families standing around waiting to hear who survived or died, and only telling the aggrieved after they announced the survivors is absolutely twisted and sadistic. 4+ hours of hell. Shame on the office who handed a piece of paper to a father and said this is where you can go to see you son's body. Where is the outrage?

Oh my god- that scared the hell out of me when I heard of this news- my friend was in the cabin that got destroyed- he had the fatalities in his cabin, and the only reason he survived, his family feels, is because he was the one pinned underneath the door.
They still get choked up when they talk about it.
Truly a scary as hell moment for them! My heart goes out to every scout up there- to the ones who survived and the ones that perished- it's almost unbelievable. God Bless them all!!
