A bit more bassy fun, this time showing how Ultrabeat can be used as a full-featured synth for things other than drums, and how it has several features not included in any of Logic's other synths. 5:10 for how it will sound.

  • Do you use Massive Synth by any chance?

  • @hAzz2theBeat Sometimes, yes. It's the best synth for really dirty bass imho. But you can get some pretty good stuff with Logic plugs.

  • nice work mate. question. does the fm8 come standard with logic 9? ive got full version but only native instrument i have is kontact. help a man out !!!!!!

  • @jasonjohnc00 Nope, you have to buy the FM8 from Native Instruments. Well worth it in my opinion though.

  • what was the headphone/speaker thing you had there?

  • @TSKPat That's the icon that comes up if you have an Apogee Duet when you change the volume.

  • @soundsLogical would you make a massive dubstep synth tutorial? would be much appreciated thanks

  • Dj Simion - La Torino Loca (cool song 2011)

  • @hAzz2theBeat i have used massive, and the only problem with it is that everyone is using it to make dubstep, so iv started reaktor to make my sounds more unique.

  • i have a problem with logic, whenever i bounce a song, the end product(mp3, etc) is always very weak and quiet, and i cant seem to fix it, can you help please?

  • cheers logical nice tut again

  • @jasonjohnc00 I found Rob Papen's 'Blue' to be the more interesting FM Synth. Loads of modulation capabilities, but main plus is that modulation is much easier to use on Blue. I tried FM8 but did find Blue more intuitive to use - and got better sounds out of it.

  • they should combine Es2 and Ultrabeat and call it Ultra Es2!!!
