  • 0:17 and 1:20 notice Don Salamanca's chair. The chairs have prominent circular designs which evoke the wheelchair that he would later use. Inthe scene itself you'll also notice that he spends the whole scene sitting until he lets the boy go. When he finally stands up that the camera angle switches to a worms eye view and you see that to the boys he looks like and will always look like the biggest man in the world. This is why when they're older and badass they still carry his chair.

  • Simply the best opening scene of all-time.

Mark Margolis is an ace actor.

  • @wirlwirlwirl you act new which is all i care about. i am mexican yeah gus is not actually chilean. the accents are horrible but the structure and grammar are correct. you may have heard mexican spanish but even mexico has many different dialects.

  • @Andysbat Born and lived in Spain for the last 18 years, yes I must be new... I am well aware of the different dialects of Spanish and i've heard mexican spanish but matter of fact is that in Breaking Bad the spanish is bad, very bad even Gus cannot speak it properly and by that I am referring to mexican spanish too so go figure.

  • @wirlwirlwirl you must be new to spain or spanish. you should know spanish has many different dialects and ways of speaking. they use the mexican spanish because all the characters except gus are mexican.

  • @28power68 no....that's not how you would say it. it's correct as it is.

  • in this same scene, the uploader, cut out the part where the old man says "the chicken man". Reference to Gus, BADASS

  • @yajo891 Nop, the spanish in breaking bad is horrible I live in spain and I have to read the subtitles in english to understand what theyre actually saying

  • @wirlwirlwirl it isn't ?

  • @28power68 Actually he says it right "La familia es todo" is how someone from Mexico would say it.
