"There but for the Grace of God, Go I", a quote spoken by John Bradford, an English evangelical preacher and martyr, as he watched from a prison cell criminals being led to a scaffold to be hung. I'm a bit of a sucker for quotes, and this is one of my favourites. Although personally I'm not very religious, I think it's a very powerful quote, literally meaning, I too, like someone seen to have suffered misfortune, might have suffered a similar fate, but for God's mercy. The reason I've used this as the video's title is because I would have thought at some point, Dean, having seen everything Sam has had to endure and the ultimate consequence of having to throwing himself into the Devil's cage, may have wondered why it hadn't been him. Why had Dean been spared that fate? And I think, had Dean had his way, he'd have taken it gladly in the place of his brother.

All that Dean used to be was a Hunter who never really relied on his own thoughts or actions. He would always joke around and enjoy life every moment of the day. But since Season four he begins to see the greater picture of understanding. He's always known that family is a priority, but now he understands and respects every human life. But now for one year he lives without Sam it kills him to realize there is no end to who you really are as Zachariah proved very well with Dean.

Amazing video! It shows exactly in my mind that Dean is facing every day in this season. You feel how torn he is from the two lives he holds dear to and no matter what he chooses its going to hurt someone and himself.
