hello I have a laptop of that same, but mine x mas q put it to load s can not turn on without the charger .. only turns on with the charger and without charger does not light at all ayudenme xfavor thanks greetings to all

Don't know if you still have this Laptop, but it is a very simple fix. Your laptop is actually trying to boot from Network. When the computer starts, press F10 key to enter setup (BIOS). Look for boot devices / boot order / boot sequence ( I don't own this laptop so don't know exact options). Disable booting from Ethernet (network) card. Make your Hard Drive (HDD) the first and only boot device (enable it if it's disabled). Save and restart.
If this doesn't work, your hard drive is probably bad.

Hey I have this same laptop and when it turns off it would be close to impossible to turn it back on you have to press extremly hard on the power and it wont turn on. Any suggestions?

my girlfriend's dad found a comp like this at work. I have it now but I don't have the cable jack, also some comp guy told me it's crap and that it easily burns. Is it true? Is there any way to fix it? it turns off after a while I think.

@bally28 i figured it out with my v2000 which was overheating. No thermal paste. Put some on and it works perfect. I'll leave the r3000 for later

I have the ame exact computer but whenever I try to boot it it's white scree with vertical color lines. Before i have formatted the hard rive on another computer and tested the LCD screen itself on another computer. help!

my dad has that laptop, my aunt gave it to us and it was stored in a closet for about 2 years, the hitachi harddrive in it was on its last leg with many corrupted sectors. Now its got a new 320gb western digital and its a pretty fast pc.
